Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

Short version: this is a personal portfolio. I don't sell your data, I don't run ad trackers, and I only collect what I need to make the site work and understand which pages get read.

What gets collected

Anonymous usage analytics. The site may use PostHog to see aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. No personally identifying information is attached to these events, and they are used solely to improve the site.

Contact form / scheduling. If you schedule a call via Cal.com embedded on the contact section, Cal.com receives the information you voluntarily submit (name, email, time slot). Cal.com's own privacy policy governs that data — see cal.com/privacy.

Hosting logs. Cloudflare (which serves this site) maintains standard access logs including IP addresses, user agents, and request paths, for security and operational purposes. These are retained per Cloudflare's privacy policy.

What doesn't get collected

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • No cross-site profiling cookies.
  • No selling or sharing of data with marketers.
  • No newsletter signup, so no email list to leak.

Cookies

The site uses a single local-storage key (theme) to remember your light/dark mode preference across visits. That's stored on your device — not sent to any server. Cal.com's embedded scheduler may set its own cookies when you open it; those are governed by Cal.com's policy.

Third parties

  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN.
  • Sanity — content management (serves blog posts, projects, etc.).
  • Cal.com — scheduling widget on the contact section.
  • PostHog — anonymous analytics (opt-out supported via browser Do Not Track).

Your rights

If you've interacted with me via the contact form or scheduling link and want me to delete any record of it, email eric@operationnation.co and I'll handle it within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and a visible note will go on the homepage for at least a week.
